Lokita is made from carefully selected ripe agaves from a perfect diversity of terroirs, balancing the mineral profile of the southern clay soils with the delicate fruit and floral notes of the Jalisco highlands.

Our agaves are cooked slowly in mamposteria ovens, to enhance the intense expression of their notes. Lokita is distilled twice in copper stills and distillation columns to deliver the perfect sweetness to your palate.

AGEING
10 months in French & American oak casks, then finished for 5 months in sherry casks.

DISTILLATION
Double. Copper pot still and column still for extra smoothness.

Tasting notes

APPEARANCE

Brilliant amber.

NOSE

Enjoy the delicate aromas of well-cooked agave, a rich blend of plum and a hint of mandarin, with a touch of orange blossom and jasmine. Savor its pleasant notes of oak and toasted almonds.

PALATE

Plenty of personality with a moderate smoky attack. The ripe agave persists in a long, complex finish with notes of caramel, oak and cherry followed by a smoky aftertaste.

PAIRINGS

Its woody notes and hints of caramel make it an ideal accompaniment to typical ‘spicy-sweet’ Mexican dishes such as mole and cochinita pibil . It goes perfectly with roast meat and desserts.
