LOKITA DESTILERÍAS
Lokita Tequila is produced in a family distillery in Jalisco under the supervision of tequila maestro Armando Orozco, who has 35 years’ experience. Made from carefully selected agaves, distilled without additives or added sugar and NOM 1504 certified, each bottle is numbered to guarantee authenticity and traceability.
Lokita Mezcal was born in San Dionisio Ocotepec, in the valleys of Oaxaca, where young maestro Arturo Martínez carries on a 100% artisanal tradition handed down through three generations. He distils agaves such as espadín, tobalá and madrecuishe with passion and precision, producing complex, well-balanced mezcals.
Two regions, two master distillers, one demand for excellence.

TEQUILA, MEZCAL, WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES?
Tequila and mezcal are two Mexican spirits made from agave. While their production processes are similar (harvesting, cooking, fermentation, distillation), there are several differences.
Tequila is made exclusively from blue agave (Agave Tequilana Weber) and is steamed, while mezcal can be made from many varieties of agave, and is cooked in ovens dug into the earth, giving it its typical smoky flavour.
Another difference is that tequila is more regulated, particularly in its area of origin (mainly Jalisco), whereas mezcal offers a greater diversity of artisanal production, especially in the state of Oaxaca.
